Getting inspiration

Our media studies Sir has told us to study Pete's blog on a daily basis to prepare ourselves for our final As project. We are learning a lot, from minor details to major factors. It is really helpful and quite an inspiration, if you ask me. We started working on our research for the film opening.

1st assignment

Composition : Rule of thirds

Hello!
In our practical media class we were taught about the basic composition of rule of thirds. Because it was my first class, I was a bit scared regarding the difficulty level of the subject while simultaneously being super excited about learning new and interesting techniques. Anyways, the "Rule of Thirds" is one of the main “rules” in art and photographic composition and stems from the theory that the human eye naturally gravitates in a "Z" formation across a certain view. So in other words, we were told to shoot by placing the main area of focus on one of the intersecting point on the basic 3x3 grid.
Here are some clicks I managed to take for the 2nd assignment.
